When the leaves start piling up, grasshuggers will keep your yard maintained and cared for throughout the entire leaf falling season. We offer leaf cleanup, leaf mulching, and push-to-curb services so you can enjoy your yard without the stress of managing fall’s biggest chore. One time pickups are generally not available due to the sheer volume of leaf fall, which makes them less efficient and causes schedule delays. Instead, our service is designed with scheduled visits that occur either weekly or more than once, making sure your yard stays maintained until the season ends.
Our Leaf Services
Leaf Cleanup Service
We blow the leaves from flower beds, decks, patios, and curbside street areas. Leaves are then gathered and hauled away, leaving your yard maintained and cared for.
Benefit: Your home is left looking maintained and cared for.
Leaf Mulching Service
We blow the leaves out of flower beds, decks, patios, and curbside street areas into the lawn. From there, we mulch the leaves into broken down bits that are left to decompose and disintegrate over the winter months.
Benefit: Leaf mulching recycles nutrients back into the soil and also helps suppress common weeds.
For a research based overview of benefits, see: Ohio State University Extension: Don’t Bag It! Leaf Management Plan
Although leaf mulching enriches soil and helps with common weeds, for adequate nutrition, better lawn color, disease resistance, and more predictable weed control we recommend our lawn fertilization & weed control services. This program is a strong fit for tougher weeds like wild violets and ground ivy.
Push-to-curb Service
Push-to-curb service is designed for homeowners whose municipality offers curbside leaf collection. We blow leaves from flower beds, decks, patios, and curbside areas into the grass along the curb, off the street, so the city can collect them on their scheduled pickup days. This service is especially popular in suburbs like Bexley, Upper Arlington, Worthington, and Westerville, where city programs make push-to-curb the most efficient option.
Benefit: We manage your service to line up with the city schedule so you do not have to.
HOA Friendly
Regular leaf visits help homeowners meet common HOA exterior maintenance rules for leaf removal and lawn appearance. Our service schedule keeps yards maintained during peak fall months so you can stay compliant without extra effort.

Q: Are expired perennials or annuals in my garden beds removed during leaf removal?A:
No, during leaf removal visits we focus only on clearing leaves so we can serve all clients efficiently during the short season. If you would like your perennials cut back or annuals cleared, we can provide a separate quote for seasonal cleanup, which we complete in October or March. Learn more about seasonal cleanup services
-
Q: What will my yard look like after cleanup?A:
Your yard will look almost completely cleared, with about 99 percent of leaves removed. You may still notice a few leaves stuck in bushes or freshly fallen from trees while we are working, but the overall appearance is neat and cared for.
-
Q: Do i need to do anything to prepare for cleanup?A:
It helps to keep your yard free of pet waste, hoses, toys, or furniture so we can work efficiently. Since we will notify you the day of service, you may not have time to pick things up last minute. A little preparation makes the visit smoother and keeps us focused on your cleanup.
-
Q: How often do you leaf mulch?A:
leaf mulching is completed weekly, though not always on the same day due to weather and our client schedule. service typically starts in november when leaves are falling heavily and continues through the first week of december, when most trees have finished dropping. this schedule ensures your yard is consistently maintained without overwhelming buildup.
-
Q: What if my leaves do not fall until late december or january?A:
Just let us know if your trees tend to drop late. we will work with you to plan the right timing. For additional needs after the season ends, we recommend our winter cleanup services or spring cleanup services. learn more about seasonal cleanup services
-
Q: Will leaf mulching leave my yard looking messy?A:
No, mulched leaves are broken into small, fine pieces that sit neatly in the grass. They are still visible, but they are only a fraction of their original size and break down naturally over the winter months.
-
Q: Do you offer one-time leaf cleanup services?A:
Due to the volume of leaves that fall during the season, we do not typically offer one-time leaf cleanup services. Instead, we recommend our scheduled leaf services, which occur weekly or more than once to keep your yard consistently maintained throughout the fall season.
-
Q: How long does push-to-curb take?A:
For an average yard with one or two trees, service typically takes about two hours. Larger lots with more trees will take longer.
-
Q: What time of day do you usually arrive?A:
Our crews begin work at 7:30 in the morning and continue throughout the day. You will always receive a text message before we arrive.
-
Q: Do you use eco friendly equipment for push-to-curb?A:
We own battery powered blowers and support greener tools. Current options are not yet adequate for large fall leaf cleanup. Batteries last about 40 minutes and operate at about half the power of our commercial equipment, which would increase service time and cost. Battery blowers work well for light jobs such as grass clippings or blowing off decks, patios, and driveways with a light leaf cover. We will adopt full battery once it can handle the demands of autumn leaf work.
Our Process
Request a quote
Fill out our contact form and we will visit your home within 10 business days of your request. Sometimes we are able to come out sooner. Typically, you do not need to be home for this visit. We will send you a text when we are on the way so you know to expect us. If you prefer to be present, just let us know on the form and we will set a time that works.
Approve your quote
After visiting your home, we will email you a quote. Once you approve it, we will add your service to our schedule.
Scheduling your service
When you approve your quote, we set a window of time for when your services will be completed. Because weather and the client list both affect scheduling, we cannot lock in a specific day.
